I think The Good Preacher
must’a been embarrassed by
SISTER LOUISA’S piece:
NOTHING HARDER THAN A PREACHER’S DICK.
He must’a thought
that SISTER LOUISA
knew his personal business,
or SOMETHING.
This act
by The Coffee Shop Owner
was ONE Bold,
Art Appreciating,
Fear Fucking Act.
He stood undeniably
in support of The Arts.
He actually made
a conscious decision
to risk losing business,
to risk losing profit,
in support of one Artist,
or Anti-Artist,
as the case may be.
I will always remember THAT
and There Is Nothing That He Could Do
to erase that
Altruism to The Arts Community.
I LOVE HIM.
Right or Wrong,
He could have chosen
to appease The Church Group,
which would have been fine.
THAT would have made
another statement,
THAT would have
differently defined his business.
With this economy
like it is today
in America,
I think this
is going to be
the wave of the future.
It already is for me.
I want to know
that I’m giving my money
to someone with
a Goddamn Soul.
When it matters TO ME
that Mr. Business Owner’s Child
has Shoes for School,
then it matters TO HIM
that I know that I am appreciated.
Business Owners
who know,
and appreciate
their targeted customers
are going to have the benefit
of an ongoing,
long term Business.
We are reverting back
to the times
when the local community
matters.
We are progressing forward
to the time
when the local community
matters.
That Art Show
was a few years ago,
and THAT Coffee Shop
is not only still in business,
but it is thriving and expanding.
Today,
THIS Coffee Shop
is a Cultural Center
of a Plethora of Art Forms:
Visual,
Musical,
Performance,
Intellectual,
Dance,
and more.
Local Businesses
with Heart
will Thrive
in The New Economy.
THIS Shit Matters.
